6,000 BTU Unit in SeaRay 280 August 3, 2024 Reviewer: Harry Pluta from Winthrop Harbor, IL United States   Recently the unit in my SeaRay 280 died and since R22 is no longer an option I decided to try the Marine Air unit.  I calculated the total space and for the midwest it indicated that 7,000 would be optimum.  We went with the 6,000BTU unit and it works perfectly.  Cools the boat promptly and seems to pull the moisture out.  The fit required an adapter plate to fit the distribution plenum, but other than that it was a piece of cake.  THANKS! May 28, 2024 Reviewer: Richard Ward from Shady Side, MD United States   The unit seems to be built well. Light weight but strong wherr it needs to be. Stainless steel where it needs to be. Doest appear corrosion will be a problem. It came packed very well with everything needed to install. Hook up hoses, power and plug the new stat. Works great. Very quite. My old unit started with a bang. Barely hear this one. My circ pump is louder than the unit. Id buy another one Was this review helpful to you?

16k and 6k air conditioners April 10, 2024 Reviewer: Kim G from Hudsonville, MI United States   I originally purchased a 16k Btu unit to replace one if my failed dometic units. The process was quick and easy. Shipment arrived one day later. All went so well I purchased a 6k btu unit to replace my other dometic unit. Both are working very well.
