14,000 Btu/h June 6, 2019 Reviewer: Edward Madura from Hewitt, NJ United States   Ordering and shipping were a 5. Installation was another 5. Cooling/heating another 5. My complaint is that I replaced a Marine air (dometic) 16000 BTU 1992 with this model and it is much louder than the Marine air. The compressor is quite but the fan and blower system sounds like a jet engine. It is so loud that I have to turn up the TV almost to its top loudness to overcome it. Since this was a retro fit It cannot be the hose/vent because the Turbine after- burner noise was not there prior to installation. So I deducted a star from an otherwise perfect score. July 31, 2018 Reviewer: George Gania from Warren, OH United States   I purchased a 16,000 BTU unit a year ago and had to replace a 12,000 BTU unit this year. I purchased a 14,000 BTU to replace the 12,000 BTU unit very satisfied with the response time  and the shipping turn around I ordered it on a Sunday night and it was at my door on Tuesday afternoon very easy to install and works like a champ it cools my 41 foot Chris-Craft cold enough to hang meat very happy with my purchase And would recommend Marine air and these units to anyone who has to replace any other brand of air conditioning Was this review helpful to you?

Happy Customer July 30, 2018 Reviewer: GARRY ROMANI from MIddletown, RI United States   Needed to replace a 14 year old ac unit in my Rinker 290. This unit fit in the front berth with little modifications to the old hardware that was all ready in place.  Of course I had to run a new communication line for the controller because of the sophistication of the new unit. The only thing that would have made it easier was if the controller can with some double sided precut tape.  All in all a good kit with minimal problems. The instructions are so simplistic that I was over thinking the installation... I recommended this unit to a few of my friends that have similar units and are starting to have problems....  The unit came well packaged and quickly in a few days time at reasonable cost.  Thank You for your great service MarinAire Was this review helpful to you?

AIR CONDITIONING PURCHASE July 9, 2018 Reviewer: Tom S. from Woodbridge, VA United States   I looked around for a marine air conditioner that I could buy direct from the manufacturer and found out that both Cruise Air and Marine Air had been bought out and the company only sells to distributors which of course sells to licensed installers.  So you have the distributor stepping on the price 30% and the local installer stepping on the price 30%.  So I found Marin Aire and contacted them.  They were extremely customer centric and assisted with the replacement of two units in my boat.  Their cost is considerable cheaper than the company that bought Marine and Cruise Air.  I have installed one myself and the unit works great.  The units arrived via fedex on the date they promised.  I pulled my old unit in 15 minutes and installed the new unit in 45 minutes.  What's nice is their unites have a 5 inch blower instead of the old 4 inch blower.  Very efficient units.  So if you are looking to buy direct from a manufacturer and do it yourself take a look at these guys.
