3 of 5 Limited heating capability February 18, 2022
Reviewer: Pony Tail Bill from Marathon , FL United States
Installation was straight forward.  No surprises. AC works great.
The surprise came when the temperature dropped to about 40 degrees overnight.  I kept getting an error code on the display and the compressor would shut down.  Had to reset the system to get any heat.  Next morning I read the manual and found out that heat does not work when the water temperature is over 70 degrees.   This is a normal situation here in the FL Keys in January.  If Marinaire cannot come up with a solution the reverse cycle heat is useless.  I will wait before I replace my other 2 larger units.

The 6K unit fit nicely in the space available under the salon seating. Works great in heat and cool modes. This unit is so quiet.

Great customer service very helpful and accommodating. I haven’t installed the unit yet but it looks top notch and superior quality to others on the market.

5 of 5 16000, 9000, 6000 btu September 4, 2021
Reviewer: Kevin G from League city, TX United States
I've purchased and installed all 3 of these units from Marineair I n my 40' trawler.  A sales rep called me before shipping the units to ensure that I'd purchased the proper units for my application. Once that was verified the units were shipped immediately. They arrived as scheduled, well packaged. The installation manual was precise in it's directions, complete with easy to read diagrams and schematics. Installation was straight forward and easy ( easy as anything on a boat can be, that is).  It's a boat. I've now had the 16000 btu running for a year, and the 2 smaller ones for 3 months and 6 months respectfully. They run flawlessly and my boat is a constant 70 degrees no matter the outside temperatures and conditions. The boat is in Galveston Bay where the temps reach 100 with 70% humidity during the summer, and down in the 30's in February. Humidity in the boat ranges from 35-40%. I'm a VERY satisfied customer!

5 of 5 Perfect for my 25 Chris Craft September 1, 2021

I’ve installed four of the 6,000 BTU units on motor vessels over the years. I’ve used Cruise Air and Marine Air in the past but they don’t compare to the quality and workman ship put into MarinAire units. The compact size makes them a perfect candidate for small spaces. All the metal surfaces are covered and foamed to keep down noise and vibration. Best part for a boat is the dehumidifier option. The unit monitors humidity, temperature, waterflow and delays compressor startup after a power loss to prevent compressor lock and breaker trip. It has a full remote control for all functions. The low amperage draw is an added bonus. Ive had other AC units damaged in shipping before but that’s not the case here. Well protected, foamed and double boxed. I installed two 6000 BTU units in 2014 on a 40 foot Ocean Yacht in the forward and aft staterooms.  They are still in service today. Their customer service is good too.
